A vehicle that was reported stolen out of South Orange was recovered by police in Newark early this afternoon.
Newark Police Officers on routine patrol in the city's West Ward spotted a red 2002 Ford EPR with reported NJ license plate number "Y44-FRV" that was occupied by three people shortly before 12:45 p.m.
When officers checked the license plate of the vehicle, they noticed it was reported stolen out of South Orange.
Police were able to get the driver of this vehicle to pull over in the area of 15th Avenue between 17 thand 18th streets where they placed the occupants inside the car under arrest.
The investigation remains active.
