Newark, NJ—November 22, 2019—Mayor Ras J. Baraka, and the Believe in Newark Foundation, will distribute more than 6,000 turkeys and additional food products to Newark residents on Monday, November 25, from Noon to 7 p.m. at the John F. Kennedy Recreation Center, 211 W. Kinney Street. The center’s entrance is on Howard Street.
The City is grateful for the generous support this year from its sponsor, the Believe in Newark Foundation, and other sponsors.
Residents from each of the City’s five wards have pre-registered to receive their free turkey in time for Thanksgiving. More than 6,000 turkeys will be given away.
