A North Ward resident suffered non-life threatening injuries during a Sunday's early morning home invasion burglary in Newark.
According to preliminary reports, police were notified of a suspect who attempted to force their way into a residence in the 200 block of Broadway around 12:50 a.m.
During the burglary, reports say a resident inside the home confronted the assailant and a physical tussle left the resident suffering cuts.
The victim was treated and will recover from the injuries.
Police have not announced an arrest in the incident.
