There were no physical injuries reported for the victim of an armed robbery that occurred on a Newark North Ward street on Saturday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the 70's block of Summer Avenue to investigate reports of an armed robber at gunpoint that occurred at approximately 2:40 a.m.
Police arrived at the scene and found the victim who reported that a black male suspect armed with a gun approached an demanded person possesions.
The suspect reportedly took the victim's wallet before fleeing the scene southbound on 7th Avenue immediately after the robbery.
Police say the suspect was wearing a dark colored hoodie during the incident and remains at-large.
