Newark, North Jersey Wake Up Warmer, More Humid Thursday Morning

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

We are up in temperatures this morning as we wake up to a warmer start to Thursday in Newark and across the North Jersey region.

Good morning, Jersey, and we hope you’re waking up feeling well!

It is currently 74 degrees in Newark, with humidity noticeably higher than what we experienced earlier in the week.

Around the state, temperatures are also running a little warmer this morning. Somerville is at 65 degrees, Trenton 69, Belmar 68, Morristown 64 and parts of Sussex County are waking up around 64 degrees.

We’re in for a more humid day, so definitely prepare for that as you head out.

There could be a few pop-up showers around the region, but this is certainly not expected to be a washout. Most of the day should remain dry, with only a limited chance of rain.

According to the National Weather Service, skies will remain mostly cloudy today with a high near 83 degrees. Calm winds will become southerly at 5 to 8 mph during the morning.

Tonight, there is a 40 percent chance of showers, mainly after 2 a.m. Otherwise, conditions will remain mostly cloudy with a low around 69 degrees.

Have a great Thursday, Jersey!
