Newark

Dasher’s Lightshow returns for a second year of the immersive drive-thru Christmas light show at Newark Moonlight, an outdoor entertainment venue.

According to company officials, the light show is a partnership between Ayana and Siree Morris, owners of Newark Moonlight Cinema, and Jon Prebish from Dasher’s Lightshow.

The two entities are thrilled to bring the family-fun experience back to Newark after seeing over 15,000 cars last year.

The lightshow is far more interactive and patrons can enjoy the sync of the singing snowman and the holiday songs from the comfort of their car.

This year patrons can look forward to an even more expansive experience with the addition of a Christmas patio, outdoor eating provided by Little Tijuana, and photos with Santa Clause.

“We had to make a lot of changes this year with Newark Moonlight, but I am happy that the light show is here to stay.

We are lighting up the city in such a beautiful way and creating a unique experience right in our backyard.” -  said Ayana Morris, co-owner of Newark Moonlight Cinema

“Christmas is my favorite time of the year and nothing makes me happier than turning on the lights! Hands down, we have the best light show in NJ.” - Siree Morris, co-owner of Newark Moonlight Cinema.

“In year two, we are hoping to see more families and touch more hearts. We know that Christmas is an especially joyous time of the year. We want families all over the country to feel that energy and feel safe while doing so. We are happy to return to Newark Moonlight and be a part of the community.” - Jon Prebish, managing partner of Dasher’s Lightshow

The lightshow opens on Friday, November 25, and will run until December 31.

General admission tickets are $29.99 with the available options of skipping the line, a double play (going through the experience twice) and a season pass.

Families can connect their vehicle’s radio to 97.5FM to listen to their favorite holiday tunes and watch the hundreds of thousands of lights dance and blink in sync with the music.

The light show is open seven days a week, starting at 5 pm and the latest entry at 10:30 pm.
