EMS transported a man to the hospital after he crashed a van on McCarter Highway in Newark this evening.
The crash happened at around 7:15 p.m. near Mulberry Street when the vehicle that the victim was occupying crashed into a tree in the 500 block.
Emergency responders swiftly arrived to the scene to provide treatment to the victim who suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The crash caused some traffic delays but was controlled by police.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
