EMS transported a patient suffering non-fatal injuries to University Hospital after the person jumped from a window of a home in Newark early Wednesday morning.
Emergency responders rushed to the residence, located in the 100 block of 18th Avenue, to investigate reports of a 'jumper down' incident shortly before 4:40 a.m.
Upon arrival, police and EMS found a male victim suffering lacerations after reportedly jumping from the window at that location.
According to preliminary reports, the victim said he experienced dreams of an active fire inside his home before attempting to escape the house through the window.
Police reported no foul play and no other injuries were reported.
