According to a broadcast report from WPVI-TV, police were dispatched to the Showboat Resort at approximately 10:37 p.m. after receiving reports of a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they located a 38-year-old woman from Maryland who had been assaulted.

A 38-year-old man from Newark who was also involved in the incident sustained a stab wound and was transported to a nearby hospital by acquaintances.

Officials said his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Investigators indicated that a third individual may have been involved, though details surrounding that person’s role have not been released.

No arrests have been announced as of Monday, and the investigation remains active.

Video circulating online appears to show a chaotic scene inside the resort during the incident. Police confirmed they are reviewing that footage as part of their ongoing investigation.

By the following day, operations at the resort appeared to return to normal, with guests continuing to check in despite concerns raised by the overnight violence.

The property, known for attracting families due to its indoor waterpark and entertainment options, remained open.
