Newark Jewelry Store Robbed at Gunpoint

Newark Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday.

Police said at approximately 5:18 p.m., officers responded to KJ Electronics and Jewelry Factory Outlets, located at 889 Broad Street, on a robbery call.

A black male entered the store and asked to see a bracelet. The suspect snatched the bracelet from a salesperson and fled the store after displaying a gun according to police.

The suspect is described as approximately 30 years old, 5’9” tall,'165 lbs. and wore a white hoodie, black jacket, and blue stone-washed jeans.

While police are actively searching for this suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from our streets.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
