Newark Ironbound Section Armed Robbery Suspect Sought

Newark Police seeks the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted for robbing the Café Con Pan restaurant last night.

According to police, at approximately 9:00 p.m., police responded to the report of a robbery at 53 Wilson Avenue.

A male suspect entered the restaurant brandishing a knife and demanded cash where he then fled then scene after receiving an undetermined amount of money police said.

The suspect wore a black hooded jacket and grey sweat pants with a black stripe.

Police said he was last seen running northbound on Patterson Street.

While police are actively searching for the pictured suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating the suspects and removing them from city streets.

The investigation is continuing.
