Newark Ironbound Bank Robbery Suspect Nabbed by Police

A late July bank robbery that happened in the city's Ironbound section has a man in custody.

According to authorities, Newark Police, with the assistance of the FBI Fugitive Task Force, have arrested **Bruce Graves, 48, of Perth Amboy**, Monday afternoon who had been wanted for a Ferry Street bank robbery.

Authorities said, on July 26, 2016, at around 4:40 p.m., Newark Police responded to a robbery call at the location, where a bank employee reported that a suspect approached her booth, demanded money and fled on foot with the bank’s cash.

Following an intense investigation, detectives developed evidence that Bruce Graves is the individual responsible for the robbery authorities said.

Graves was arrested at 761 Ocean Avenue in Jersey City and is charged with robbery and resisting arrest.

These charges are merely accusations lodged against Graves.

He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
