Newark Police reports that members of the Newark Fire Division rescued a 57-year-old woman who attempted suicide on Thursday afternoon.
According to police, at approximately 4:11 p.m., firefighters and police responded to a residence in the 100-block of Dayton Street where they located the victim attempting to jump from a window at that location.
Police say, they pulled the woman back from the 7th-floor window and EMS transported her to University Hospital for an evaluation.
There were no serious injuries reported as a result of this incident.
