Newark Braces for a Mild, Warmer but Windy Wednesday

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

Residents in Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to a chilly but relatively warmer morning at 39 degrees, a noticeable improvement from the frigid temperatures experienced earlier this week.SupportHowever, while Wednesday's forecast promises milder conditions with temperatures reaching near 50 degrees, strong winds could create challenges throughout the day.

According to the National Weather Service, gusty winds could bring down tree limbs and utility poles, posing potential hazards.

The forecast calls for a chance of showers between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., with partly sunny skies and a high near 47 degrees.

However, wind chill values will make it feel between 25 and 35 degrees early in the day. A southwest wind of 13 to 21 mph is expected, with gusts reaching up to 48 mph.

Tonight, temperatures will drop significantly, with mostly clear skies and a low of around 22 degrees. Wind chill values will make it feel even colder, ranging between 10 and 15 degrees.

As the region enjoys a brief warm-up, residents are advised to stay cautious of the strong winds and dress warmly for the evening chill.

Stay safe and enjoy your day, New Jersey!Support
