There were no injuries reported for a shots-fired incident that occurred in Newark's West Ward on Saturday morning.
Police responded to the vicinity of 32 Boylan Street to investigate reports of gunfire that rang out ion the area at approximately 5:25 a.m.
Upon arrival, police found evidence that a shooting occurred, but after a search of the area, there were no victims found, according to police.
A shell casing was located in the area while the police were canvassing the area.
The suspect responsible for the shooting has not been apprehended at this time.
