Hospital officials said the medical center's new 17,500 square-foot glass-enclosed lobby served as the enchanting backdrop for an unforgettable day of giving and festive celebrations.

Approximately 120 children from local Newark Public Schools, along with over 75 families, gathered in the hospital's radiant lobby.

Their eyes sparkled with anticipation as they received a delightful assortment of gifts – from toys that would bring endless smiles to clothes that would keep them warm during the winter season.

Behind this heartwarming event lies the dedication of Newark Beth Israel employees who, year after year, commit themselves to spreading joy to Newark's young minds.

Individual employees and departments carefully choose a student to make their dreams come true by selecting gifts from each child's heartfelt wish list.

This year, the warmth extended even further, as participating families were presented with winter coats, courtesy of Risque and Foxes and Friends Bar and Grill – local businesses in Union and Irvington, New Jersey, that organized a coat drive to support this heartwarming program.

As laughter echoed through the air, families were treated to a magical afternoon filled with music, a captivating magic show, and the chance to capture cherished memories with Santa and Mrs. Claus in their very own Christmas sleigh.

The holiday spirit was magnified by the hospital's new Newark Strong lobby, a testament to progress and care.

Opened in April of this year, the lobby stands as the most visible element of Newark Beth Israel's expansion project, ushering in a new era of modernity and welcome for patients, families, and visitors.

Amid this transformation, Newark Beth Israel's "Holiday Cheer for Children" reminds us all that the true essence of the holidays is in the joy we bring to others and the warmth we share with our community.

This season, their kindness has illuminated the hearts of children and families alike, proving once again that Newark's spirit of giving knows no bounds.
