According to Long Hill Police officials, officers investigated a customer attempting to pass counterfeit money at Old Navy in the Valley Mall at 1:09 p.m. Friday in Gillette.
Store management noticed that the money was counterfeit and contacted police accord to authorities.
Police officials say after a further investigation, officers arrested, **Mr. Yordany Fernandez-Espinal, 21** from Bronx, NY.
According to police, Fernandez-Espinal was arrested, processed, and issued summonses for forgery, criminal attempt, theft by deception, possession of marijuana under 50 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Fernandez-Espinal was released on his own recognizance with a pending court date in Morris County Superior Court.
