The Center for Public Scholarship at The New School is holding its second panel in its free, two-part webinar series called “In Time of Plague, 2020: COVID-19”.
The second panel is entitled "Comparing Plagues: AIDS and COVID-19" and will host a series of experts on the topic of the AID crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic. This panel will take place on August 12 from 12:30-2:00 p.m.
These webinars bring together experts in the field scientists, activists, policymakers, academics, non-profit leaders, government officials, members of the general public as well as students, to reflect together on the similarities and differences of past plagues and epidemics, which have occurred throughout human history and the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The Webinars are designed to increase our understanding and response to the ways in which we have responded to pandemics in the past and how we might best respond to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
