NJ Lottery officials announced that the Mega Millions jackpots have been raised due to increased sales across the nation.

According to officials, the Mega Millions jackpot now sits at $940 million for tonight’s drawing.

Officials say the website features important information for players, including odds and prizes for Mega Millions and tips and guidelines for group or lottery pool play.

If a player believes they have a winning ticket, they recommend signing the back of the ticket and taking a picture of both sides for security before checking the ticket with the NJ Lottery app, website, or any New Jersey Lottery retailer officials said.

A winner of a hefty prize may wish to seek financial and legal consultation.

NJ Lottery Executive Director Carey urges players to remember that playing the lottery is a form of entertainment and to keep in mind the importance of playing responsibly.

“Don’t miss out on this opportunity for your chances at this big jackpots,” Carey continued.

“Anything can happen in Jersey! You only need one ticket to play the game.”
