The performance tells the classic story of Princess Aurora, who falls under a spell and is ultimately awakened by true love’s kiss—brought to life through elegant choreography and one of the most recognizable scores in classical ballet.

Organizers say this adapted presentation is designed to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals with sensory sensitivities, as well as their families.

Adjustments to lighting and sound, along with a more relaxed setting, aim to make the performance accessible without compromising the beauty of the production.

Audience members can expect a one-hour performance with no intermission, allowing for a smooth and engaging experience from beginning to end.

Seating will be general admission, with attendance intentionally limited to ensure a comfortable and supportive atmosphere.

Inside the theater, lighting will remain partially on throughout the performance at a reduced level, while sound will be softened and kept consistent to avoid sudden or overwhelming changes.

The sensory-friendly format offers a unique opportunity for families to enjoy a full-scale ballet in a setting that prioritizes comfort, accessibility, and inclusion—while still delivering the magic, music, and storytelling that have made Sleeping Beauty a cherished classic for generations.
