New Brunswick Police Investigates Double Stabbing

A set of stabbings that occurred in New Brunswick during the overnight hours has police looking into a possible connection and motive.

According to preliminary reports, reports of an injured person sent police to the single digit block of Oxford Street at around 3:30 a.m. where they arrived and found an unidentified person suffering serious stab wounds at that location.

EMS transported the victim to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center where doctors treated the injury.

At approximately 5:40 a.m., police responded to an address in the 800 block of Nassau Street after receiving reports of a person stabbed according to reports.

Upon their arrival, police requested EMS after locating the victim suffering stab wounds.

The victim was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center for treatment of non-fatal injuries.

Police believe that the two incidents are related but are attempting to determine the motive.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
