New Brunswick Man Charged with Criminal Sexual Contact

Middlesex County officials have announced today that Dandre Burrell, 20, of New Brunswick, has been arrested and charged with improperly touching a woman.

According to officials, on December 16, Burrell was charged with one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.  On Monday, December 21, Burrell was detained pending trial in the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center following a detention hearing.

The investigation conducted by Detective Jeffrey Monticello of the New Brunswick Police Department and Detective Lauren Tredo of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that, on December 12, Burrell grabbed the victim’s buttocks as she was walking in the area of Robinson Street. Burrell then fled the area on foot.

As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Burrell are merely accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
