Narcotics Task Force Seizes Cocaine, Cash Inside Trenton Apartment

The Mercer County Narcotics Task Force concluded a three-week investigation this week with one arrest, and the seizure of cash and cocaine, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported.

According to police, on Jan. 10th officers with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Hamilton and Trenton police, under the command of the prosecutor’s Special Investigations Unit, executed search warrants at Daniel Molina’s Chestnut Avenue apartment in Trenton.

A search of the residence revealed approximately 64 grams of powder cocaine and $3,865 in cash.

Police arrested Molina without incident during a motor vehicle stop of his BMW at Adeline and Hudson streets.

Authorities seized approximately six grams of cocaine packaged for distribution inside the vehicle.

Detective Sergeant Brian Kiely stated the seized cocaine has an approximate street value of $7,000.

Authorities charged Molina, 46, with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending future court proceedings.

Despite having been charged, every defendant is presumed innocent until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
