The Newark branch of the NAACP is inviting residents to enjoy a day of fun, health, and community engagement at the upcoming Family Wellness Festival on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Nat Turner Park, located at 251-289 18th Avenue in Newark.
The event, themed “Join Us for a Fun Day,” promises a vibrant afternoon filled with live entertainment, a DJ, games, and family-friendly activities designed to promote wellness and unity.
There will also be line dancing, community resource tables, and a variety of engaging opportunities for both children and adults.
Organized by NAACP Newark, the festival aims to bring together families, local organizations, and service providers in an inclusive environment focused on health, empowerment, and joy.

The event is supported by community partners, including the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey (HCF) and Newark Thrives!.
It is also backed by the Honorable Newark Council President and Council Member-At-Large C. Lawrence Crump, who continues to advocate for family-centered and community-based programming across the city.
