Police in East Orange are investigating a shooting that left several individuals injured early Sunday morning.Police have not released many details about the circumstances surrounding the incident, but according to preliminary information, it occurred around 1 a.m. at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 375 Central Avenue.
East Orange police responded to reports of gunfire and arrived at the scene to find multiple people suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical crews reportedly transported four individuals to University Hospital in Newark for treatment.
However, authorities have not confirmed the exact number of victims, the severity of their injuries, or the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
As of Sunday morning, no arrests had been announced, and the investigation remains active. Police have not released information on potential suspects or a motive.
Officials are urging anyone with information to contact East Orange detectives.
