Multiple Injuries in Crash Involving Bus in Newark

A crash involving a bus that injured about a dozen people early this morning in Newark is under in investigation.

Reports of a bus colliding with a car had first responders rush to the McClellan Street Bridge at around 3 a.m.

Rescue crews arrived to the scene where they found a small bus that was carrying more than a dozen passengers, crashed into a vehicle causing about a dozen injuries.

There were no occupants trapped in either vehicle but EMS Units from University Hospital, Ironbound EMS, and McCabe assisted in transporting victims suffering non-life threatening injuries to area hospitals.

Elizabeth firefighters and rescue squad assisted in the operation.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
