A crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Newark is causing delays for drivers heading toward Newark Liberty International Airport early this morning.
The multi-vehicle crash, which included a box truck , happened just before 12:40 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Exit 13A.
New Jersey State Police responded and found several vehicles involved in the collision.
Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at the scene.
Following the crash, northbound traffic was reduced to two lanes, leading to congestion in the area.
Transportation officials say crews are working to clear the scene and expect the roadway to be fully reopened before the start of the morning rush. 
However, motorists traveling toward Newark Airport should allow extra time and be prepared for minor delays until conditions improve.
