Police in Newark are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that happened in the city’s Central Ward early this afternoon.
Police were called to the intersection of W. Kinney and Quitman streets at around 3 PM after they received reports of a crash with injuries.
Units arrived at the scene to find several vehicles severely damaged and at least one person suffering injuries at that location.
According to a preliminary investigation, a female driver of a car somehow lost control and plowed into an SUV; then struck about four other parked cars.
A female driver of the vehicle was transported to University Hospital in stable condition according to reports.
There were no other serious injuries reported.
