Emergency responders rushed to a multi-car crash the had several people injured overnight in Newark's North Ward Saturday night.
The crash happened at around 9:35 p.m. in the vicinity of Lake Street and Bloomfield Avenue sending police to the scene where they requested additional assistance after finding about four cars involved in the crash.
Firefighters and rescue crews extricated at least one person from a vehicle according to authorities.
EMS transported about three victims to the hospital suffering various injuries.
The official cause of the crash has yet to be determined by police.
