Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp announces that Matilda A. Mola, 66, of the Borough of Mountain Lakes, was arraigned today in the Morris County Superior Court in front of the Honorable Robert J. Gilson, J.S.C. Mola was indicted on November 6, 2014 after an investigation revealed that she allegedly stole approximately $136,800 from her sister and her brother by forging her sister’s signature on ten courtesy checks totaling $136,800 from a Bank of America Line of Credit Account located in Boonton Township. Defendant was indicted on one count of second degree Theft, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2C:20-3a and ten counts of third degree Forgery, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2C:21-1a(2).
