Police reported no injuries in a shots-fired incident that erupted in a section of Newark's North Ward overnight.
According to police, at around midnight, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 80's block of Mt. Pleasant Avenue, sending officers to the scene to investigate.
Units arrived at the scene and ballistics bust a search of the area indicated no victims.
The suspect ran from the scene and has not been arrested at this time. It is not clear who the suspect was firing the weapon at.
