Motorcyclist Severely Injured in Long Valley Crash

A motorcyclist suffered an amputated leg after a motorcycle crash that occurred on US-46 in Long Valley Saturday afternoon.

Police say the collision happened around 1:20 p.m. in the 40's block of US-46.

Emergency responders and rescue crews arrived and found the motorcyclist ejected from the bike and pinned under a car at that location.

Police say the impact from the collision caused an amputation from the knee down.

The unidentified victim was airlifted to Hackettstown Hospital for treatment and remained in serious condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
