Police closed all lanes eastbound on Route 80 as they investigated a crash that severely injured a motorcyclist Saturday night.
It happened around 10:17 p.m. near exit 66 of the highway, where emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a person down on the road.
When crews arrived, they found a damaged motorcycle with an unconscious rider at that location.
Medical personnel provided CPR before rushing the unidentified victim to the hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
The NJ State Police has taken over the investigation into this incident.
