A motorcyclist struck and killed by a vehicle on Route 80 in Totowa has authorities investigating.
Emergency responders were called to the westbound lanes of Rt. 80 near Squirrelwood Road at around 3 a.m. after receiving calls for a motorcyclist down after being struck by a vehicle reports said.
EMS rushed the badly injured male victim to St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson were he was later pronounced dead.
Police shut down all westbound lanes for several hours as they conducted a crash investigation.
The cause of the crash and the identity of the victim have not been released at this time.
