Passaic County officials announced that at approximately 3:22 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, police responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of East 7th Avenue and Wood Street in Paterson.
Police said the crash involved a 2015 Honda Ruckus motorcycle, that was being operated by Jonathan Medina, 29, of Paterson, New Jersey, and a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT, that was being operated by a 26-year old male Paterson resident.
Following the crash, Mr. Medina was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey where he was pronounced deceased at 4:21 p.m.
The driver of the Dodge Caliber was not injured, and provided a valid driver’s license.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
