Motorcyclist Killed in New Jersey Highway Collision

Authorities in New Jersey are investigating a motorcycle crash that left the rider dead in Passaic County Sunday morning. 

According to initial reports, Wayne Police were dispatched to the southbound lanes of Route 23 near I-80 to investigate a motorcycle crash shortly before 12:20 a.m. 

Upon arrival, police found the motorcyclist ejected from the bike, suffering severe head and neck injuries. 

The rider was pronounced dead from his injuries. 

Police closed the highway's ramp for the investigation. No other injuries were reported. 

As of 4:45 a.m., Wayne Police had the ramp closed while detectives investigated the cause of the wreck.
