One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash Wednesday night in Brick Township, according to officials.
The collision occurred on Mantoloking Road at approximately 10:45 p.m.
Initial reports from the scene indicated the motorcyclist suffered severe injuries, with emergency responders applying a tourniquet while requesting advanced life support.
The injured victim was transported to Ocean Medical Center’s Jersey Shore Trauma Center for treatment.
A subsequent dispatch update at 10:59 p.m. reported one person deceased at the scene and another transported to the trauma center.
The circumstances surrounding the crash have not been released, and the incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
