Police in Elizabeth are investigating a late-night crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle that left a motorcyclist seriously injured.
The collision occurred just before 10 p.m. at the intersection of Spring Street and Anna Street. Authorities were dispatched to the area after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a person down in the roadway.
When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist suffering from a head injury after colliding with a vehicle at the intersection.
The injured rider was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials said the victim’s injuries were reported as serious but non-life-threatening.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the Elizabeth Police Department.
