Mercer County authorities are investigating a motorcycle crash that left the driver dead late Sunday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of Brunswick and Puritan Avenues to investigate reports of a crash with injuries at approximately 11:30 p.m.
Emergency responder arrived at the scene and found the severely injured motorcyclist lying on the ground after the motorcycle collided with an SUV.
Police say Lawrence Township EMS transported the motorcyclist to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead a short time later.
According to reports, the driver of the SUV was detained by police, but there were no official reports of arrests.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
