Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Narcotics, Weapons Arrest in Hillside

A motor vehicle stop that took place in the area of Grumman Ave. and Clinton Place had police reportedly recovering weapons and narcotics. 

Hillside police attempted to pull over the vehicle late last night when the driver reportedly sped away coming to a stop in the 200 block of Williamson Avenue where police gave a brief foot pursuit of the men,  apprehending two black males a short time later. 

Residents said,  several Hillside police units swarmed around a grey Saturn shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Williamson Avenue. 

A canine unit was brought in a short time later, assisting police locate a weapon at that location according to residents in the area. 

A further search of the vehicle had authorities reportedly confiscating narcotics. 

There were no injuries reported.
