Police in Hillside are investigating a pedestrian strike that injured a mother and her daughter this morning.
According to a statement released by Hillside Police officials, the incident happened at approximately 7:06 am on where police received a report of pedestrians struck by a vehicle in the area of Liberty Avenue and Crann Street.
Police say where police arrived at the scene, officers determined a mother and daughter crossing Liberty Avenue were struck by a vehicle merging into traffic from the Dunkin' Donuts Drive-Thru.
Both pedestrians sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
No summons or charges have been issued at this time according to Hillside Police officials.
The incident remains under investigation.
