The NJ Sharing Network has recognized Linda Naoum, RN, of Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center, with its Sunflower Award for her outstanding advocacy and commitment to the organization’s lifesaving mission of organ and tissue donation.

The Sunflower Award celebrates professionals who go beyond their daily responsibilities by showing compassion, collaboration, and dedication to excellence.
Colleagues describe Naoum as a nurse who not only builds strong connections with patients’ families but also works closely with physicians and staff to ensure every detail of care is handled with precision and dignity.
“I am truly humbled to receive this award,” said Naoum, a Wayne resident. “It is a privilege to care for patients and support families during some of their most difficult moments. I am also grateful to play a role in honoring the wishes of organ and tissue donors, which brings hope and healing to others.”
NJ Sharing Network officials highlighted Naoum’s extraordinary efforts during a recent organ donation, when she provided compassionate support to grieving loved ones and even volunteered her time on days she was not scheduled to work.
“Linda has a remarkable ability to connect with families and colleagues alike. Her compassion shines through in every interaction,” said Jacqueline Nuzzi, Hospital Development Manager at NJ Sharing Network.
According to the United Network for Organ Sharing, more than 100,000 Americans, including nearly 4,000 New Jersey residents, are currently waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant.
One organ and tissue donor can save up to eight lives and improve the lives of more than 75 others.
