Morris Township Man Charged with Weapon Possession, Endangering the Welfare of a Child

Morris County officials announce the arrest of Stephen J. Clemo, 46, of Morristown, in connection with an April 18 incident that occurred on Egbert Hill Road.

County officials said that at approximately 8 p.m., Clemo was at the victim’s residence. 

Officials stated that it is alleged that the defendant discharged a firearm one time, damaging property within the residence. 

At the time the firearm was discharged, the victim and their family members were present inside the home, including a minor child. According to officials, Morris Township Police were dispatched to the residence via a 911 call. 

Upon arrival, the defendant surrendered without incident.

No injuries were reported by the victim, family members, or law enforcement.

Officials said that on April 19, Clemo was charged by complaint-warrant with Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Mischief and Harassment.

Clemo is currently in custody.
