Authorities in Morris Township are investigating the cause of a crash that resulted in fatal injuries Wednesday.
The late-night collision happened around 11:17 p.m. on Southgate Parkway.
Police and EMs arrived at the scene and found an electric car fully involved in flames.
Firefighters were dispatched to the location, where crews immediately extinguished the flames.
One severely injured person was found inside the car and then pronounced dead at the scene.
Police checked a wooded area for victims who may have ejected from the car, but no other injuries were reported.
The Morris County Prosecutor's Office was notified of the incident.
