Morris Museum Premieres 'Travels with Darley': A Revolutionary Journey in NJ

Morris Museum is set to host a unique cinematic experience with the premiere screening of the PBS series "Travels with Darley."Ad Scheduled for Sunday, February 18, at 2 p.m., the event will spotlight three new episodes of the acclaimed series, each delving into New Jersey's pivotal American Revolution sites, including a special feature on Morris County.

Titled "Revolutionary Road Trips," these episodes are a part of the winter debut in the Emmy-nominated series, offering viewers an intimate look at New Jersey's rich historical tapestry, particularly as the Crossroads of the American Revolution.

Darley Newman, the esteemed host, has spent 15 years traversing the globe and now turns her attention to New Jersey's iconic locales such as Morristown, Monmouth Battlefield, and Trenton, among others.

The event, a collaboration with the Morris County Economic Development Alliance and Tourism Bureaus' 250th Anniversary Committee, promises an engaging afternoon.

Attendees can anticipate insightful opening remarks by committee members, including Morris County Commissioner Deputy Director Stephen Shaw and Director Christine Myers.

The screening is also set to feature an appearance by former Commissioner Director John Krickus, who was interviewed by Newman during the series' filming in Morristown.AdBeyond the screening, the event will serve as an interactive platform.

Following the episodes, a Q&A session will provide attendees with a deeper understanding of New Jersey's hidden historical gems and a glimpse behind the scenes of the series' filming.

Among the notable participants are Tom Loughman, Morris Museum's Executive Director, and Craig Schlosser, President & CEO of the Morris County Economic Development Alliance & Morris County Tourism Bureau.

The episodes, which are a part of the long-standing PBS series, will not only bring history to life but also introduce viewers to New Jersey's unique culinary heritage, including Revolutionary Beer and Laird's Applejack.

Additionally, fans can catch "Travels with Darley: Revolutionary Road Trips" on NJ PBS, starting with Part I on Wednesday, March 6, and continuing with subsequent episodes on March 13 and 20.
