Morris County Prosecutor Investigates Body Found in Dover

Officials at the Morris County Prosecutor announced an investigation regarding a deceased male found on West Blackwell Street, Dover, on Sunday. 

Authorities said at approximately 7:40 a.m. Dover police officers responded to the area of West Blackwell Street and Randolph Avenue in Dover on the report of a male lying on the sidewalk.

Upon arrival, they located a deceased male.

Police say the victim’s name and identity will not be released at this time.

Police have identified a person of interest, according to the prosecutor’s office.

The investigation is active and ongoing.

Authorities said no further information will be released at this time in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.

There is no perceived threat to the public at this time.

Numerous law enforcement agencies have participated in this investigation, including members of the Dover Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
