Morris County officials announced that their educational Anti-Bias/Bullying program will be added to additional schools around northern New Jersey – Kinnelon High School and Pearl R. Miller Middle School on April 4, Rockaway Valley in Boonton Township on April 8, and Assumption School in Morristown on May 1.

The goal of the program is to teach students about the consequences of failing to exercise good judgment when it comes to interacting with peers and posting online, as how they conduct themselves today could potentially impact their future, according to Morris County officials.
In addition, MCPO officials say, the presenters explain that Morris County takes a zero-tolerance approach to threats of school violence, and there are consequences and corrective actions that must be taken, even in cases when students claim their comments were intended as a joke.

The assemblies also allow law enforcement to connect directly with students, MCPO authorities stated.
Morris County officials said the program has been conducted at public and private schools throughout Morris County and beyond, with over a dozen such presentations being held in Morris, Sussex, Union, and Warren counties over the last year.
