More Than a Dozen Vehicles Burglarized in South Orange

South Orange Police are actively investigating a rash of burglaries that had more than a dozen cars illegally entered and items removed in the Village this week.

Village residents took to Facebook's social media platform in outrage after thieves reportedly stole items out of about 16 cars around the Village between Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

Residents say thieves stole everything from computer devices, cell phones, iPads and even loose change left in vehicles.

In a statement released by South Orange Police, officials reminded residents of the importance of locking their vehicles and safeguarding important and valuable items.

Several upset residents on the social media platform said the burglaries are nothing new and has been going on "forever" in the Village.

There were no arrests made.
