An early morning crash that involved a NJ Transit bus and a car in Newark sent more than a dozen victims to the hospital.
The crash happened at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Market Street shortly before 4:30 a.m. where emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a crash with several people injured at that location.
Arriving crews located a collision that involved a bus and a car with about 13 people injured.
Two occupants of the vehicle were immediately rushed to University Hospital suffering serious injuries according to authorities.
Eleven other victims suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to University Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by Newark Police.
