Police in Montclair are investigating a shoplifting incident after a man allegedly stole hundreds of dollars worth of meat from a supermarket on Valley Road.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on May 23, 2026, at Kings Supermarket, where employees reported that a male suspect entered the store and stole approximately $600 worth of steaks before fleeing the area.
The suspect is described as a white male believed to be in his 30s or 40s.
He was wearing gray sweatpants, a black-and-gray flannel shirt over a Beatles T-shirt, and a gray snapback-style hat with a black brim.
Authorities said the suspect fled the scene in a white SUV that was waiting nearby.
The incident remains under investigation.
